Mr. Fassbender has been at Lodi High School for a whole 26 years! His entire teaching career has been devoted so far to our school even in the same classroom. He has been a definite favorite around the school from students to teachers.
Mr. Fassbender has loved history ever since he can remember. His story is very interesting he, after high school he decided he wanted to teach he says “I sort of fell into it”. After his student teaching, he decided teaching was not for him and found a new job somewhere else, even though he was not fully teaching he always had one foot still in the classroom subbing for Lodi. Then a job came up for teacher here at lodi, he decided it was his time, he stated “I took it, and never looked back”. To this day he still hasn’t.
Mr. Fassbender has contributed to this school more then most have. Form sports to clubs to exchange programs. For 16 years he coached volleyball, for Jv, varsity, and even helped middle school. He also was the leadership adviser for a whopping 10 years before passing it on to a few other teachers. He is the founder of Interact club. And was the Thai exchange coordinator for a decade. He also started the AP mentoring program along with another teacher. Without him and his contributions, LHS would not be what it is today.
In the end Mr. Fassbender is an outstanding teacher, we are all lucky to call him one of our own an LHS. He has shown us what a great teacher gives to a school. With his countless contributions including a coach, a founder to many clubs, and a overall friend to all.
