Navigator hockey is going strong. Season being exponentially bigger and better than last year. There second season with the name Navigator and they are not disappointing. This season has contented many defensive games and many important last period possessions deciding games.
Navigator hockey is dominant in the 3rd period. They outscored their opponents by 4 goals in the third period. They have a total of 54 goals and 22 of them coming from just the 3rd period alone. Talking about dominance the navigator goalkeeper Mason Brie is having a great season as with having a .925% save rate and having more than 400 more saves than their opponents. He improves his percentage by 50% from last year. He has been holding the defense this year by preventing their opponents from scoring 67 less goals from the year prior. They are holding a season high with a current 7-13 record. Here’s what team manager Addison Woolley had to say about the goal for the season moving forward is, “I would just say taking each game like one by one. Hopefully making it pretty far into playoffs.”
Let’s look at some of the Lodi’s own and grown players on the team. Nick Rentmeister is 5th on the team for points, racking up a total of 10. 7 of them being off of goals and 3 off of assists. He if a very conservative forward only taking 7 shots on goal, and 7 shots going in. His twin brother Jackson Rentmeister is another accurate forward that has only 1 shot on goal and 1 going in. He is more of a pass-first player, racking up 5 assists. But if you get him 1 on 1 for a penalty be scared. He has made 5 penalty goals this season. Logun Meyer is another forward from Lodi on the Navigators, an has racked up a total of 5 points, 3 of which resulting from goals.
Navigator hockey has 2 more games left. Both this week, one on Friday during valentines day, and than back to back on the road facing the Cedarburg Bulldogs. Make sure to show up and support the 4 seniors last regular season game on Saturday the 15th.
