Skiing and snowboarding are the highlights of winter activities for many; in a 30-mile radius from Lodi, we have quite a few spots to go. Most, if not all of these locations offer a sort of lodging for you to be able to turn winter sports into a fun weekend long experience.
Let’s begin with Cascade Mountain, situated roughly 18.5 miles from Lodi. This is the closest resort and one of the first to open this year, with an estimated date of November 23, 2024, making it a nice place for skiers or snowboarders to visit during Thanksgiving break. This is a very popular location for people in Colombia County, it has 4.5 stars on Google with over 2000 reviews. This resort offers a restaurant and 48 trails, with the longest run being over a mile at 5.300 feet.
Blackhawk Ski Club is in Middleton, 20.6 mi away. We cannot find a projected opening date at this time.
Devils Head is nearly 24 miles away, leaving you with about a 30-minute drive; this resort opens on December 7, 2024. this location is in the Baraboo bluffs leaving you with beautiful views, and all together 30 total runs. Their longest run is very similar to Cascade rounded at 1 mile. The projected closing date for Devils head is March 15, 2023.
Tyrol Basin is nearly 30 miles away; with a 40-minute drive, it is located in Dane County. It has a total of 24 runs and 5 lifts. It has a projected closing date of March 16, 2024,
